According to the Twitter account @TreurRene itself, the main reason Konami did not create a new game from PES 2021 was due, currently they are focusing on developing the PES 2022 eFootball game which is planned to be released for the new generation consoles namely PS 5 and Xbox Series X. Konami itself is called that, will completely overhaul the PES eFootball game system that we know into a new generation game.
